Gentlemen-
I’m sure you are all sharpening your skills for the 2024 tournament but you will be disappointed. I am going to win! I know you’ve heard that before but it’s true this year. 2023 was my warm up.
We are returning to Crossville, TN. The Friday round will be at Heatherhurst Brae or Crag at 1:30 pm, yet to be determined but the other Heatherhurst course not played on Friday will be played on Saturday at 8:30 am. Sunday’s round will be at Stonehenge at 9:00 and the final round will again be at Bear Trace on Monday at 8:00 am. Bear Trace was the only course to give us the required shotgun start on Monday. You can imagine our departure time without the shotgun start.
We should have payment instructions shortly but you need to decide right away if you want to play an extra round or two on Thursday. Those fees will be included in your initial payment to Bertram Golf. The package price this year is $527.00. I have rooms for 60 and have already heard about several new guys coming. Commit early. That includes your tournament round golf, accommodations and food. If you play extra golf on Thursday, that will be added to your package price and will be due when you make that payment. If you play on Wednesday, that fee may be payable to Bertram or to me at a later date. I will let you know about the Wednesday payment arrangement.
Obviously, I need to know your extra golf schedule so I can make sure to have enough tee times. That said, let me know right away. Generally, the fist practice round on Wednesday will start in the 1:30 to 2 pm timeframe. I will attempt to get it close to 2 pm. We will have two tee times on Thursday, around 8 am and again around 2 pm. My thinking is Heatherhurst Crag on Wednesday afternoon, Heatherhurst Brae on Thursday morning and Stonehenge Thursday afternoon. Right now I have tee times for 16 players on Wednesday and for 36 players for both Thursday rounds. First come first serve unless I can get more tee times if needed. Last year I was unable to get more.
Caution: This year we had slow play in our group to the extent that one course did not want us back and complained to Aaron and me bitterly. I don’t mean to be Debbie Downer but we simply cannot allow that to happen again. More to come on this subject later.
See you in May.
Mike
